Full Description

This specification covers a titanium alloy in the form of bars, wire, forgings, and forging stock.

This alloy has been used typically for parts requiring high strength up to 1000 \mDF (538 \mDC), but usage is not limited to such applications.

Certain processing procedures and service conditions may cause these products to become subject to stress-corrosion cracking. SAE ARP 982 recommends practices to minimize such conditions.
