This specification covers an aircraft-quality, low-alloy steel in the form of sheet, strip, and plate.

These products have been used typically for parts requiring relatively high levels of strength, fatigue resistance, toughness, ductility, and thermal stability for service up to 1000 \mDF (538 \mDC), and where such parts may require welding, during fabrication, but usage is not limited to such applications.
