Full Description

This specification covers the engineering requirements and process controls for selective plating of hard chromium by electrodeposition. It should be used, in conjunction with AMS 2451, for cosmetic touch-up and for wear-resistant chromium deposits.

This process has been used typically to provide a corrosion-resistant deposit with excellent wear resistance and to repair damaged, worn, or mismachined parts but usage is not limited to such applications.
