Full Description

The objective of this test procedure is to provide the user with a standard test procedure for evaluating the relative fuel economy of given vehicles. The test procedure employs test cycles which reflect different modes of vehicle operation and provides the basis for evaluating the effects of those modes on fuel economy of the vehicle. The fuel can be measured either by weight or by volume. Fuel economy is expressed in mpg.
