This specification covers a magnesium alloy in the form of sand castings.

These castings have been used typically for components requiring uniform medium strength up to 320 \mDF (160 \mDC), pressure tightness, good fatigue and creep characteristics, and which may require welding during fabrication, but usage is not limited to such applications.
