This International Standard specifies a method for determining the resistance of leather to washing in a washing machine under specified conditions.

The method is suitable for assessing the change in colour of the leather, the staining of an adjacent textile fabric and any change in the finish of the leather.

This method can also be used in leather preparation for assessing the change in any other physical or chemical property during machine washing.
