Scope

So far, we have six items on the list of correction request for IEEE Std. 11073-20601-2014:1) The Nom code of MDC_ATTR_SOURCE_HANDLE_REF_LIST is not assigned in Annex I.2) To make the mandatory occurrence of Source-Handle-Reference or Source-Handle-Reference-List explicit.3) To correct the qualifier status of Get-Segment-Info. It shall be mandatory.4) To remove the ambiguity in 8.7.3.1.2 wrt protocol-version field.5) To remove the ambiguity wrt scan report numbers of two agent-init flows.6) The Nom code MDC_DEV_SPEC_PROFILE_SLEEP_APONEA is wrong, shall be corrected.Above six items are the scope of this proposed change, but we don't preclude any further proper correction request that pops up during the developing process of this Corrigendum.

Purpose

This standard addresses a need for an openly defined, independent standard for controlling information exchange to and from personal health devices and managers (e.g., cell phones, personal computers, personal health appliances, and set top boxes). Interoperability is key to growing the potential market for these devices and enabling people to be better informed participants in the management of their health.

Abstract

Corrigendum Standard - Superseded.Within the context of the ISO/IEEE 11073 family of standards for device communication, this standard defines a common framework for making an abstract model of personal health data available in transport-independent transfer syntax required to establish logical connections between systems and to provide presentation capabilities and services needed to perform communication tasks. The protocol is optimized to personal health usage requirements and leverages commonly used methods and tools wherever possible. This corrigendum removes the ambiguities and corrects the wrong nomenclature codes and qualifier status that have been identified in IEEE Std 11073-20601-2014 to improve implementation of the standard in an interoperable fashion.
