Summarizes the research team's effort to define the competencies necessary for project manager success, develop a method for evaluating PM competencies and identifying training and development needs. Introduces the Project Manager Competency Assessment Tool (PM CAT), the tool the team developed to enable organizations to assess PM competency on an industry-based scale.
