1.1 This table has been prepared by the National Institute of Standards and Technology to meet a demand from the tar industry for a short and convenient table for reducing volumes of road tar to the basis of 15.6C (60F) when extreme accuracy is not required. The table shows the volume occupied at 15.6C by a quantity of material occupying unit volume at the indicated temperature.
