This second edition was prepared for use in conjunction with the Standard Specifications for Highway Bridges, and subsequent interim revisions to these specifications. The second edition of the guide specifications was developed by a broad-based committee organized by the American Segmental Bridge Institute. The committee included representatives of state departments of transportation, the Federal Highway Administration, academicians, consulting engineers, contractors, and suppliers.
